I haven’t been so excited for a photography session in awhile. After all the weddings I’ve photographed, it’s surprising this was the first time I’d been asked to do a bridal shoot. This wasn’t just any bridal shoot either. This was a bridal shoot for Mary Catherine. Ever since I met her and Ben, I knew their wedding would happen eventually and I was hoping I would be able to be there for it. She definitely had plenty of great locations around Marion, Alabama set up for the bridal portraits as well. We met at the Kenworthy-Carlisle Hall, known for it’s antebellum architecture and haunted past. This was a unique location for formal shots. I loved how well her dress fit with the setting. Afterwards, we visited the nearby Perry Lakes. This provided a great contrast for some dramatic natural shots. After the session was over, there was no shortage of photographs. The biggest problem was not being able to share them. Now that they are married, I’m excited that I can share them. Check back to view their wedding pictures soon…
