I always want to go on vacation but this time more than ever I felt that I needed a vacation.\u00a0 Initially, Joy and I felt like Alaska was the obvious choice.\u00a0 Then we reconsidered and went the opposite extreme.\u00a0 Forget cold, I wanted somewhere hot, humid and sunny.\u00a0 Kauai definitely provided.\u00a0\u00a0We certainly aren’t beach people but Kauai offered plenty of adventure.\u00a0 Over 10 days we hiked, snorkled and even spent a little time on the beach.\u00a0 I was surprised by the diversity such a small island could offer.\u00a0 We were able to explore the pristine\u00a0beaches\u00a0of the North, the\u00a0amazing\u00a0Na Pali coast on the West and the rainforests that cover the island’s untamed interior.\u00a0\u00a0All that in addition to offering the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (view full size gallery<\/a>)<\/p>\n
