Somehow, I had\u00a0spent my whole life in Alabama and had never been hunting.\u00a0 That changed this past weekend.\u00a0 Joy’s Aunt & Uncle were kind enough to let us stay\u00a0in their\u00a0beautiful log cabin and hunt on their property.\u00a0 While I didn’t take a shot at a deer, I did enjoy the weekend and even got some use out of my camera.\u00a0 Most of the weekend was spent in the “Mudhole” shooting box.\u00a0 This was my view…<\/p>\n

Arriving to the box just before daybreak,\u00a0it was the perfect place to watch the sunrise.\u00a0\u00a0As\u00a0the sun rose and moved across the sky, it was an excellent study\u00a0of\u00a0light and its effect on a landscape.\u00a0 The day began with a cool blue light and frost.\u00a0 The light gradually took on a\u00a0warmer tone and melted the thick layer of frost.\u00a0 Each hour brought a vast change in the scenes mood.\u00a0 Using my 70-300mm lens, it was challenging to find numerous ways to capture the same scene.\u00a0 When the sunlight began to fade, I was able to capture some long exposure abstract images.\u00a0 Aside from the final photograph, all the\u00a0images were taken from the shooting box.
