Have a Question?

The information below will help you know what to expect.
Will all my images be edited?

Yes, every image undergoes basic post production. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment and clarity adjustments.  Selective photographs will undergo more intensive editing to remove distracting elements, correct minor blemishes and make local adjustments.

What if my venue is dark? Will my pictures look grainy?

Professional equipment is used to reduce the number of grainy, low contrast images.  External flash units provide additional light in darker venues.  The flashes are generally directed toward the ceiling and “bounced” toward the subject.  This prevents the subject from having flashes fire directly into their eyes.

How much time should I allow for wedding photographs to be taken?

The amount of time you need to set aside for photographs varies depending on your wedding day.

Preparation Shots – Duration: 1 hour

Couples session – Duration: 30-45 minutes

This is most easily completed before the ceremony in conjunction with a “first look.”  If done following the ceremony, every effort will be made to allow you to arrive to the reception in a timely manner.  However, this may reduce the number of formal couples portraits.

Family Formals – Duration: 20-30 minutes

I ask that the couple make a list of family group pictures they would like.

Bridal Party – Duration: 20-30 minutes

Weddings rarely go as planned.  I would encourage you to build in some extra time should things run behind.  This allows you time to relax and have a more enjoyable day.  It’s also nice to allow some time between photographs and the wedding to freshen up.

What can I do with the JPEG files provided?

I provide all customers with the high resolution digital files.  You are allowed full print rights.  However, no pictures should be sold or profit be made off your photographs.  You are free to provide images to your friends and family.

When will I get my pictures?

Turnaround times vary depending on workload.  In order to provide quality photographs, extensive editing is required.  Wedding photographs are generally delivered in 2-4 weeks.  For a typical family session, pictures can be expected in 1-2 weeks.

Will I get all the pictures you take?

No way!  I strive to offer quality over quantity.  You can expect to receive at least 400 images.  This is an absolute minimum and generally will be exceeded.  If there is a specific image you would like to have, let me know and I’ll be sure to include it.

Will you post any pictures of me?

I’d love too!  I value the privilege of being a part of your special day and love to share your story with others.  I typically post a favorite photo or two a few days after the wedding.  After your have received all the photographs, I will make a more extensive post featuring memorable moments from your big day!  If any of this is a problem, please let me know and I’ll certainly respect your privacy concerns.
