I returned to one of my favorite waterfalls yesterday.  The first time I visited them was in early spring.  On that visit, I really liked the wide angle shots I got.

Upon arrival, the falls weren’t as I had expected.  Due to all the summer leaves obstructing the waterfall and the lack of water, I wasn’t happy with the wide angle shots I was able to get.   After some failed attempts, I took a closer look and focused on what I felt made the waterfall so beautiful this time.  I used used my telephoto to capture this tight, detail shot.  It’s easy to feel like I have to shoot a scene in a certain way but when I approach it as its own I always get my best results.
